Stanford Felix, DMA – Voice Instructor

Do you want to get into a better choir, score well at contest or audition well for the school musical? If you need help preparing for voice competitions or college scholarship auditions, or want to improve your voice to sing in a band or major in voice performance/education in college, the sooner you start taking private voice lessons the better.
As a professional singer for the last 25 years and a Professor of Voice and vocal coach for the last 12 years, I know exactly what you need to improve your voice and what it takes to succeed in the vocal style best suited for you; Musical Theater, Classical, Jazz or Rock. I’ve judged hundreds of competitions and auditions, and these are a few of the things you will need to know:
• Good Vocal Technique (most important)
Includes breathing, resonance, agility, etc.
• Good Stage Presence
• Good Pitch
• Correct Repertoire (Which songs work best in your voice)
• Thorough Knowledge of Notes and Rhythms
• How to Practice Efficiently
• A Definite Game Plan (exactly what you want to do with
your singing, and how to get there).
If you really love singing and want to make it a bigger part of your life, you need to start working hard on your instrument. Whether you’re a soprano, alto, tenor or bass, I work with all voice types from beginning to professional, and will help you be as good as you can be.
